The Dilly Shade site comprises an air conditioned white concrete booth with a small waiting area, a restroom and a tea counter is provided for patrons’ comfort. The paved parking lot has 32 parking spaces with parking blocks and provision for one (1) handicap slot. An assortment of Bougainville trees are planted along the perimeter of the property. Safety! The property is secured with a 6 foot chain link fence, topped off with barbwire on the eastern, northern and western sides. Along with LIVE Security during operating hours. The main (southern) entrance of the property is enclosed with a five foot (5ft.) wall. There is a sliding gate and programmed raise arm for privacy and security purposes. Dust to dawn lights illuminate the entire premises for safety. Telephone installation is provided for patrons to call for Shuttle Pick-Up. Tea and coffee will be provided to patrons awaiting to be transported to their destination. A car wash service will also be provided at an extra cost to customers.
Security cameras are installed on the property which will permit surveillance of the property on a 24hr basis via the internet and from a monitoring center. Security officers will also be located on the property during operation hours to provide an extra level of security. These officers will assist patrons with parking, air for their tyres, jumping their batteries and transportation to their destination. Security officers will ensure that all equipment, doors and gates are properly secured before leaving each evening. Security officers will be properly clad in uniform clearly recognized wearing identification badges. All security officers will be equipped with island wide hand held radio which will permit them to remain in constant communication with the relevant authorities.
The proposed hours of operations are 7:00am to 7:00pm daily. The owner proposes to offer a radio dispatched shuttle services from the parking lot to Parliament Street via Bay Street and return to the parking lot by Shirley Street. Round trip without traffic is estimated to be about 20 minutes.

The Dilly Shade Park (parking lot) is located on the northern side of Virginia Street between Augusta & Nassau Street. Virginia Street is two blocks south of West Bay Street. Junkanoo Beach is just a stone’s throw away. The world famous Arawak Cay Fish Fry is also within walking distance on West Bay Street. There are a number of small hotels and restaurants in the immediate area.
